墙是城的铠甲，是一件写满城池荣耀和沧桑的衣裳。风吹着城墙的缝隙，会响起历史久远的回声；而城墙上的每一块砖、每一抔土，都记录了日月星辰和风雨雷电——站在现实的城墙上，你会思接千载，神游象外。

In the famous historical and cultural county of Shouxian, there is a well-preserved ancient city wall built in the Northern Song Dynasty. The ancient city wall has an irregular square structure in a checkerboard-like layout. There are four entrances on the wall to the urban area of the county, through which Shouxian people experience back and forth between the historical and present scenes while enjoy a peaceful life.

在淮河南岸、八公山下的国家历史文化名城寿县，就有一座始建于北宋、至今仍保存完好的古城墙。古城墙为不规则的方形结构，有着棋盘一样的布局。墙有四门：东门“宾阳”、西门“定湖”、北门“靖淮”、南门“通淝”。在寿州古城里过日子的人，通过这几道大门，在历史和现实之间来往穿梭，过青菜豆腐一样的平静生活。他们的时间是慢的，他们的日子是有温度的，像热腾腾的牛肉汤上面缓缓升起的热气。

城墙外的春天，梨花在月明星稀的夜晚唱起庐剧；秋日，淮河安澜。河面上走着船只，而那只会飞的小帆船——白鹭，翅膀被一朵浪花沾湿。只有城墙上说大鼓书的艺人，不断地谈起赵匡胤困南唐的旧事，让游人在“大救驾”的香味中有片刻的恍惚；还有瓮城里一块“人心不足蛇吞象”的砖雕，告诫我们要懂得珍惜。

All the way to the south of Anhui is Shexian County, another national historical and cultural county with a history even longer than that of Shouxian — it was built in the Qin Dynasty and is one of the “four most well-preserved ancient county seats” in China. In the old urban area, you can taste the fermented tasty mandarin fish and sliced salted pork. On the Yuliang Old Street, you can learn the prosperity of Hui merchants that lasted for several hundreds of years and appreciate the artistic charm of Hui ink and She inkstone.

一路向南。在安徽南部的国家历史文化名城歙县，云正在聚集，雨丝连接了天空和大地，也连接了徽州文化的古今。歙县古城的历史更为悠久——始建于秦朝，系中国“保存最为完好的四大古城”之一。在古城，谁将在许国石坊凯旋？一定是乡愁的胃，想起了臭鳜鱼和刀板香的滋味。渔梁老街，依山傍水，我们看到徽商穿过数百年的烟云，在历史舞台上演绎春秋。徽墨和歙砚是一对孪生兄弟，生于“一生痴绝处”；擅长雕刻的匠人可以从木头里救出一条龙，却没法取出徽剧低沉、浑厚的声音。

在国家历史文化名城安庆，黄梅戏是一种生活方式。安庆古城墙边的一片爬山虎，也是听着黄梅戏长大的——刀光剑影的岁月已经远去。如今，古城墙和旁边的楼群相得益彰，使一座城时空交错，承接着传统和未来。

Enjoying Huangmei Opera is a way of life in the historic and cultural city of Anqing. The west section of the city wall still remains. The wall tells its long history with the Boston ivy that covers it. The ancient city wall and the buildings nearby complement each other, carrying on the tradition and heading to the future.

长江东流去，在下游的当涂太平府文化园中，立于复建的城墙上，可以看到火车疾驰而过。花云大战太平府的故事让城墙有了历史的厚度。城内，凌云塔矗立云端，黄山塔隐于山野，金柱塔屹立江边。“三塔两浮桥”，是游子永恒的回忆和寄托；飞檐和斗角，是李白的诗句与留白。

总有一段历史永存在时间的褶皱里，惊艳一段时光。寿州的锣鼓喧闹，徽州的马头墙宁谧。照过安庆府的月光，而今照在当涂段的江水上。

The Yangtze River keeps running eastward, leading us to the Taiping Cultural Park in Dangtu. Standing on the rebuilt city wall, you can see speedy trains passing. The story of Hua Yun's brilliant fight for the safety of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom gives the wall a historical thickness. In the urban area, there are three pagodas: Lingyun Pagoda, Huangshan Pagoda, and Jinzhu Pagoda, and two bridges.

The city wall has witnessed and recorded the past of the city. Therefore, along the wall, you can feel the profoundness of the history of the city.
